Beat Up

“I have learned to be content whatever the circumstance” - Philippians 4:11

So we are a week into outreach…. It is going great in good ole Queenstown, NZ. We have been pouring into the vineyard church here as well as the mountain snowboarding. Seriously God is so good in the way we have been blessed! We are staying in an epic house that is in an ideal location, just a 10min walk into town and not far from the mountain. Kegan and I are doing our massage at the church by donation. It has been great to get back into it! I’m surprised how fast it comes back! We have held a free board wax night at the church and show snowboard films. We are going to hold a sausage sizzle at the skate park as well…. Other than that we have had some amazing times of worship within our group and at the church!
So other than all this stuff we have going on  we are just really looking at being intentional with just BEING! God doesn’t want us for what we can do he just wants us. Our team is so amazing, I love them all so much with all the things they bring to the table makes us a very unique team.
So to tell you more of the title of this post is because I am feeling challenged emotionally, physically, and spiritually all in a good way. Perhaps not so much the physically because the other night we were all wrestling and Josh head butted me, that was fun, I couldn’t feel my face for a few hours. Then today we went snowboarding and I ate it pretty hard on the first run, then someone ran into me. That was great. Along with that, getting back into massage, I’m kinda using muscles I haven’t in a while so…. Other than that I can feel God kicking me in the kitish… In a good way, challenging me to delegate and use the resources around me, along with being content in every situation. I’m always up for a challenge. Emotionally it’s challenging being in tight living quarters with 8 people. Lets just say I’m really getting a feel for when I’m a mother…. 5 hungry boys to feed not 1 or 2 times but ALL DAY LONG! Honestly who does that! J I love it though. When we go grocery shopping I take Skyler with me because he is the food man. I love it!
To add on to "Beat up" I feel as though with this town there is a lot of selfishness spoken over it, mainly because you come here to get what YOU want. It's a very touristic town that has that mentality. With this first week of being here we need to stay focused on the Lord and what he has for us. It can be so easy to get distracted by the people, drinking, smoking, selfish attitude this town has to offer. I'm not saying it's easy to stay focused on the Lord, believe me it takes practice and you HAVE to be intentional with your quiet times. If you're not then this town will beat you up! I mean, I have a real fighter mentality and I love a good battle. But after this week of falling off chairs, skidding my knee, getting pushed around I knew it wouldn't be easy. But really?! When you're in a place like this that is consumed with the world and what the world has to offer, you know the enemy won't like what's going on so he will try to stop you at all means necessary.

We are all stoked for India as well! I can’t wait! There really is no way to prepare yourself for what’s to come! So I just pray that we can make the most of it!
Prayer points for our team:
- Health
- Safety on the mountain, driving and shredding
- Love for our team & Unity!
- For God to show himself more in this place!
- Protection from what's going on around us
- Focus for our team

Peace to all of you!
