Where has the time gone?

Well things have just been flying by! I can't believe it. In 15 days we leave for outreach. I am excited but also sad at the same time because I won't get to see everyone until we get back in February. This week we have been learning about Biblical Worldview and Missions with Dalton Lifsey. He is an amazing speaker from the International House of Prayer (IHOP). He has made me want to read the bible more and I have realized that I don't spend enough time with God. In my usual day at home I would if I remembered, but not usually. Here on base we do spend a lot of time with God, but when I want to not spend time with him I can shut him off like I do at home. God is a lifestyle not just a person you can spend time with 2 hours a week at church or in a bible study. Sure you can go to those things I know people at home who are so involved with the Church and that's great, but you don't need to be involved with the church in order to talk to God. For instance I'll put it this way: You are getting married to God as your groom. Sure you're excited in the beginning when you're getting to know him and what his likes and dislikes are. Then you get more intimate with him and sharing more about your past and future. Then the wedding day comes, it is exciting and it is one of the greatest days of your life but you're going to spend the rest of your life with this person. You need to be more excited about the rest of your life with him instead of being more excited about the wedding day. Make sense? Hopefully because this sure hit me this week. I realized that I need to spend more time getting to know him and just enjoying him and his beautiful creation that's around us! God has rocked my world this week and made me feel unconditional love for people that I really need to love like God loves...
