Sitting in the LAX airport. Man it seems like forever since I've been on an airplane. I have a lot of feelings and emotions running through my head right now. 2 years is a real long time. Although I would rather spend 2 years serving a pretty cool God, than just doing what I want. It will be hard and like everything it has it's challenges but in the end when I look back on everything I can say YES I did that and I finished it strong. On the plane from Chicago to LA, it gave me time to read the Shack. If you haven't read this book you need to! It is an amazing book!! It shows how big and how loving the God we serve really is! Like my grandmother said to me "Just read it!!" Speaking of which I am really going to miss so many people here. I might be missing out on some stuff especially weddings this summer, but knowing this it just makes me rely on God more for his strength to get through everything.
You know if you ever get the chance to travel do it!!! You won't be disappointed or regret it! I can guarantee that! On the other hand there are people who have no desire to travel too and that works too... I guess what I'm trying to get across is don't put yourself in a box, explore the earth and everything in it! Hey I never imagined myself going to SE Asia in a million years nor did I have a desire to but guess what I've been there done that bought the t-shirt. Never underestimate God...
