Hello Everyone! So you know how the first week everyone is getting to know everyone and getting used to the different place we are in. The second week everyone lets a little crazy out showing their true self. Well the third week is just letting all of your crazy out! It's so awesome though we have become such a family that we can all just be ourselves and it's normal. What I love about it though is the fact that everyone builds each other up instead of judging them and putting them down like what the world does. This week we have been learning about the Father's Love. Let me tell you absolutely ah-mazing! The first day was about Faith yesterday was about Identity.
Faith: God didn't give man the power to rule over other men only over the animals and the earth, but not people. We are good at distinguishing evil, but we aren't good at distinguishing what is good. This goes for any situation, whether it be work, church, on the street, in the home. We as humans are so good at telling everyone what is wrong with everything, then that's how gossip starts and we all know that's not right. Love always hurts at some stage. You may be hurt because a close friend or family member is hurting and you don't want to see them suffer, this is where I fall to God on my knees and praise him even in the worst of times only he can fix what is wrong and he is the only one I would ever want to fix it. Sometimes I feel to protective of people and don't give them a chance because I love them to much and want to take the suffering for them but I know that's not right. You have to have a relationship with God IT IS NOT A RELIGION! We are married to God no matter what, we need to invest time and effort to keep it going, the law gives us more oppertunities to get divorced than it does to save our marriage. Live by grace or by law, Grace is better. I love the lord with all my heart and Nothing can come between that. Only I can stop it and why would I ever want to. He is the most amazing guy anyone will ever know. Our Notes from class:
• Identity - Lack of Assurance
Many struggle with identity and self esteem issues that war against our sense of assurance and security as children of God. However the word of God is clear about who we have been born again to be:
1John 3:1...
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
Gal 3:26(-29 read)
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
Gal 4:6 (Read 1-7)
And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Eph 2:4-9
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast.
Eph 2:19,20
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, 20built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
