We Are Family!
It amazes me to think that only a month ago we were all just getting here. We didn't know one another, and now we are treating each other like brothers and sisters. We were all placed here for a reason, have you ever stopped to think about all the people that are in your life right now and why they are in your life. There is a reason for everyone. We are the body of Christ and we all bring something different to the table. If we were all the same we would all get bored. Like for instance I would have never known about a DTS if it weren't for my friend Tyler, who I went to elementary school with. I just love thinking about that stuff because it always makes me take a step back and go wow God is huge and amazing! I mean I knew that before but I just love him. When you live on a base this small you get to know everyone pretty fast. Every one's quirks, dislikes, likes, how they do things, why they do things. I feel like I've been living in this house for a year not a month. Time is going so fast I can't believe it. I don't know why but I always get songs stuck in my head but just certain parts of songs. It kind of drives me nuts because I can't remember the rest of the song or I forget the name of the song. The reason I bring this up is because we had worship this morning and I keep singing part of a song in my head, hmhm. I just don't know. This week we have a new speaker Femi he is from Nigeria he is speaking on calling and destiny of god. So far it is pretty good. I like it because it makes me think of things in a different way. Example: we were talking about the different spiritual gifts and the word government came up in a church sense so that means the board of elders, or the church members that have been there a while. I guess I never realized it but they play an important part in the Church, but where I think some churches get mislead is when they start making decisions for themselves. John 3:16 says: For God so loved the WORLD that he gave is only begotten son... It says the world not the church, you, me, a building. It says the world because we need to save the world and make God known. I guess I'm in the right school then. The long and short of it is that God is awesome and never fails!
