Alright where to start... It has been an amazing weekend so far! God is just so amazingly good. I don't even have the words to describe him. We are going into the 5th week of lectures for the students. Next Saturday we are going to Queenstown which is about a 6 hour drive south. I know it doesn't sound like a bad drive but the roads are not the straightest. I get to go because I have to cook, imagine that... Just kidding it's a blessing to go and serve them. The students are amazing they have such servant hearts. It inspires me everyday to continue serving with an attitude that can rub off on everyone.
Thinking about home and people at home. I have about 70 pictures of people from home just for inspiration and to bring me smiles. Pictures make a room look bigger in my opinion. Since it's summer at home I am missing the smell of fresh cut hay. Not gonna lie... Call it what you want but that is one thing I miss a lot! New Zealand winter is not what I thought it would be. It only snowed once so far. I mean when they said winter I'm thinking Minnesota style winter not this rain crap and dampness more like spring everyday. Who knows now that I said that it will dump 2ft of snow.
Cooking is going so great. I am finding that when I have a question about something there are a lot of people with input. Particularly the butcher, I wasn't sure on what kind of meat to get and he helped me right out. It's been about 2 1/2 months now that I've been here. Which is crazy to think about because it has really gone fast.
Samoa is calling my name..... I am going to Samoa on outreach in January. I will be there for about three weeks. I am going with the construction for missions school. Which is a secondary school for students that have already completed a DTS (Discipleship Training School). I am so excited! We will be helping with the building of houses for people that were involved in the hurricane. Since it's down time for the base, there are no schools running it is a good time for me to go.
I know this may be something that is supposed to happen but I am starting to talk like a kiwi! I don't know if this is good or bad! I catch myself saying the things they do. I think it's because I have to deal with people on the phone, the butcher is a big one, being on base in general I guess. It happens subconsciously I don't realize it until after! Oh for the love of pete...
Other than that there is nothing really happening, kind of a boring life (not really). God is fanfreakingtastic!
