Which one?

Ambition: desire to achieve a particular end
Integrity: the quality or state of being complete or undivided

These two words have been in my head this morning. Ambition is something that everyone has, no matter what they are doing. Integrity is something that we have to earn. Integrity always reminds me of the story of Daniel.
"At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent." Daniel 6:4
In my role here as the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager I have to earn the integrity to do it. Which for me to start with I have to have the ambition to do the job joyfully. It's funny when you pray for something and God gives you the situations to try that out in. He won't just give it to you, you have to earn it. I think that's pretty cool, when you're in a job you have to earn the trust of your superior in order to advance in that position. Same thing in missions. Only your boss is the Lord. He's a pretty cool boss though. All these life skills I'm learning, some are hard and some are easy. From every situation though I take what I want to learn then leave the rest. In everything though I have to remember to Finish Strong! "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." -2 Timothy 4:7
So no matter what whether good or bad finish strong. Everything is going by so fast around here, I mean we are already half way through winter! Crazy right!!! They all leave for outreach on September 11th. Then the Backpackers start in the beginning of October! Just one right after another. I think I will be an expert at saying hello and goodbye by the end of these 2 years...
